Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

Hispanic Heritage Month began as Hispanic Heritage week in 1968 under President Lyndon B. Johnson. President Ronald Regan then extended it to an entire month, which is what we now know as Hispanic Heritage Month starting on September 15th and ending on October 15th.
The reason why Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15th is because this is the Anniversary of Independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. September 16th and 18th follows for Mexico and Chile to celebrate their independence.
