If you weren’t already hype for a brand new year, the legend herself, Mary J. Blige, will have her very first talk show called “The Wine Down”. It has been reported that Blige will not only be hosting the show but she will also be producing scripted and non-scripted content through her company Blue Butterfly Productions in a signed agreement with BET! According to description for “The Wine Down” the show will consist of her sitting down over a bottle of wine with guests from the entertainment, political, sports, and social media industries.
“BET has been one of my biggest supporters throughout my career,” said Blige in a statement. “Being able to now create together, for them to be so supportive of my vision for the type of content I will create, is something I am grateful and excited for. We already have multiple projects in the works and there is much more to come.”
Congrats, Mary J. Blige! Blige had an amazing 2022 including playing the Superbowl Halftime Show and while she will “Wine-ing Down” for 2023, it’s certainly going to be another incredible year for Mary J. Blige as she ventures into the talk show world!
