It’s not every day you get to see legends like Clipse hit the stage together, let alone on a full tour. But last night at Mission Ballroom, Pusha T and Malice reminded Denver why they’re one of the coldest duos to ever touch a mic.
Opening the night, EarthGang came through with their usual chaos-meets-charisma energy. Johnny “Olu” Venus and Doctur “WowGr8” Dot had the crowd bouncing early, running through cuts like “Top Down” and “Billi” with full throttle. Their chemistry is unmatched, and they definitely didn’t treat the opener slot like a warm-up.

By the time Clipse stepped out, the room was packed and buzzing. No frills, no gimmicks—just two brothers in rare form, spitting razor-sharp bars over skeletal Neptunes beats that still sound futuristic 20+ years later. They kicked it off with “Chains & Whips” and dove into a run of Lord Willin’ and Hell Hath No Fury joints that had the whole venue rapping along bar for bar.
The crowd went nuts when they dropped “Grindin’”—you could hear that lunch table beat in your head before the drums even hit. The new material from Let God Sort ’Em Out hit different. Tracks like “M.T.B.T.T.F.” and “So Be It” show Clipse hasn’t lost a step—just got sharper with age.

Pusha’s solo intensity balances perfectly with Malice’s more reflective, grounded presence. And despite all the years (and the industry drama), the brotherhood was strong on stage. No hype men, no distractions—just bars, striking visuals, and a catalog most rappers dream of.
The Mission Ballroom was the perfect setting—clean sound and a crowd that knew their hip-hop history. Whether you were posted on the balcony or in the pit, the energy never dropped.
Bottom line: Clipse gave Denver a masterclass in raw rap and reminded everyone what real legacy looks like. Still sharp, still hungry, and still showing what elite lyricism looks like.
