Rocky Mountain Public Media (RMPM) has launched Allies for Aging, a new initiative designed to connect Colorado’s aging adults and their caregivers with the resources they need to thrive. From healthcare and housing to social engagement and financial planning, the program highlights vital community services while also sharing stories that celebrate aging well.

With Colorado’s older adult population growing at one of the fastest rates in the nation, access to trusted support has never been more critical. Many local nonprofits already provide essential resources, but awareness and accessibility remain significant barriers. Allies for Aging bridges that gap, making it easier to discover services and encouraging older adults to live boldly, stay connected, and thrive.

Through media outreach, partnerships with organizations like Next50, and its trusted statewide network, RMPM is uniquely positioned to amplify these resources and foster collaboration. As President and CEO Amanda Mountain explains, “We are proud to stand alongside Coloradans as they navigate aging so it doesn’t feel so lonely, and together we can support folks thriving later in life.”
