He began his radio career as a part-time personality in Phoenix, AZ, and his hard work and dedication eventually gained him a full-time position. That parlayed into a radio opportunity in Sacramento, CA., where he served a beloved listener-ship for 5 years, and in 2017, he was awarded Personality of the Year by the Northern California Entertainers Music Awards. SugaBear is a beacon in the community for his efforts to strengthen, build, and give back for its overall improvement. In 2018, he created SugaBear’s Community Corner, a radio platform to highlight people in, from, and for Sacramento County. He also implemented an annual “Socksgiving Drive” which has up to date, collected over 200K pairs of socks for the homeless in his community.
